Thanks to the hard work of the Parents' Council, the Fun Run was back in operation, this year. What a great fundraiser it was, with so many families coming along to the Discovery Park to walk, run or jog either the 5K or 2K route.

Children had the added fun of face-painting, after the run. Thanks to the creative and very patient volunteers who provided this service. Also, to the DJ, to the raffle organisers and of course, the caterers, a massive thank you. The refreshments and entertainment were very much appreciated by all, on their return from walking.

Mrs Jacob was delighted to hand each participant a one-of-a-kind medal, at the finish line!

Thank you to all the sponsors, those who supported the runners/walkers, those who donated raffle prizes, and supported in any way. The Discovery Park itself is such a unique attraction, and we are lucky in Castlecomer, to be able to avail of the trails for such a fundraiser.

On Thursday, 22nd June, the sun shone down on the pitch in Ballycomey. The bouncy slide returned this year, providing a steep climbing challenge for all pupils!

Activities such as rounders, novelty races, distance and relay races, co-operative games and a GAA blitz, ensured the day was active for all.

The June Bank Holiday weekend was a busy one for a group of creative parents, who, along with Mrs Carmel Kenny and artist Dominika Stoppa, designed and painted a beautiful mural. The scene features a tree, comprised of the handprints of all of the pupils of our school! Watch this video, to see how the wall was transformed.
